Winter Duathlon Bohinj
The ski touring & trail running duathlon will take place on and around the Soriška Planina ski area. The course consists of two loops, each finishing at the base of the ski area, where a refreshment station and spectator zone will be set up.
The duathlon consists of two ski touring loops (2 × 2.8 km), followed by one trail running loop (6 km). Along the way, participants will enjoy stunning views of the highest peaks of the Julian Alps, with Triglav as the centerpiece, and a lively social atmosphere shared with ski tourers and trail runners as part of the Bohinj Ski Touring Festival.
The duathlon consists of two disciplines: two ski touring loops (2 × 2.8 km) followed by one trail running loop (6 km). The final result is the sum of both times — a simple, fun, and dynamic way to experience two winter disciplines in one race.
The course is accessible to participants with basic experience in ski touring and trail running.
The race is organized by an experienced team with a long-standing record of delivering demanding sporting events, including Julian Alps Trail Run by UTMB, Ultra Trail Run Vipava Valley, and Soča Outdoor Festival, with a strong focus on safety, logistics, and high-quality execution.
