Winter Trail Run Bohinj

This is a true winter trail run, with the entire course taking place on snow. The race will be held on and around the Soriška Planina ski area. Three distances are available: 6 km, 12 km, and 18 km.

One loop measures 6 km with approximately 300 m of elevation gain. Each loop finishes at the base of the ski area, where a refreshment station and spectator zone are located.

Each loop includes one ascent. Along the route, runners will enjoy stunning views of the highest peaks of the Julian Alps, with Triglav as the centerpiece — but above all, a strong sense of shared atmosphere with ski tourers and fellow trail runners.

The race is designed to foster a relaxed, social atmosphere on the course, bringing together trail runners and ski tourers throughout the event. After each loop, participants pass through a spectator zone where they can follow the ski touring race, cheer on others, and connect with fellow runners — creating a lively yet grounded race environment.

The course is not technically complex and is accessible to runners with basic trail running experience.

The race is organized by an experienced team with a proven track record of delivering demanding sporting events, including Julian Alps Trail Run by UTMB, Ultra Trail Run Vipava Valley, and Soča Outdoor Festival, with a strong focus on safety, logistics, and high-quality execution.
